The finest darkroom and studio facilities in New England are available to the students in this course.

Starting in the first year, students will work with professional equipment. They get a practical experience with equipment ranging from manual 35mm film to digital SLR cameras, medium format Hasselblad and Mamiya cameras, along with traditional 4x5 view cameras. Two professional commercial studios are digitally equipped to provide students with a learning and creation environment.

Training involves the traditional form of photography as well as new technology such as digital printing.
