Santa Monica College
For a student at Santa Monica College to obtain their Occupational Certificate in Photography, he or she must complete 42 units with a grade of C of higher. Further to lecture rooms, the Photography Department's physical plant has studios for intermediate and advanced level students, black-and-white and color printing labs, E-6 and C-41 processing labs, and a digital lab with complete service bureau. All of which is new with the oldest portions only dating back to 1994.
Students benefit enormously from the support of the professional working and retail photographic community in Los Angeles, as well as direct support from a number of manufacturers of high-end camera, lighting, and digital equipment. We are extremely grateful for the support and benefits it brings to our students. The support we receive from companies and individuals allows presenting a top-notch program.
