Sacramento City College

Sacramento City College's students have an opportunity to prepare for entry level positions as a press photographer, photojournalist, portrait photographer, freelance photographer, editorial photographer, photo-lab technician, and other career fields that utilize photography techniques. Students that wish to do so are prepared to transfer to a university program to further their study of photography.

The Commercial Photography certificate gives the students the knowledge and readiness needed for obtaining entry-level jobs in this field. They will work both in a lab and studio with traditional and digital methods of photography.

Students can experience how photography is really done since they are being provided with the complete materials in the laboratory. We provide the lab chemicals.
