College of the Canyons

College of the Canyons offers three photography programs, one specializing in basic photography, another in commercial photography, and the last in fine art photography.

The first offers an associate of arts degree which equips students with a strong all-around knowledge of photography, including its technical application.

Elective classes may be taken for more specialized training. Lower division classes are transferable to four-year universities.

Associate of Arts candidates have the option of specializing in photojournalism rather than photography, a program that prepares students for work with newspapers and magazines.

The Certificate of Commercial Photography equips students to successfully market their photography in careers like advertising and marketing or photo editing.

The Certificate of Fine Art Photography prepares students to for careers in fine art photography.
